How long does it take to graduate?

The length of time to complete a program depends on the student, their financial plans, and the time devoted to their studies. However, it is required at least one year of study with FCU. At the Bachelor level, it is a 3-4 years program. At the Masters, Doctorate and Post-Doctorate levels, each program takes 1-2 years.

Is the University Accredited or Certified? What is the difference?

Florida Christian University is a certified University authorized to operate by the State of Florida by religious exemption and meets or exceeds the minimum standards of the legal statutes of the State of Florida F. Though accreditation is voluntary, we have always upheld a great standard of quality in our curriculum and infrastructure in preparation for accreditation standards. Accreditation poses several requirements in terms of schedule and program structure, besides preventing the university to offer programs in three languages. FCU opted to be a more flexible and accessible institution, making available courses specifically related to our target audience, in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Can my diploma from the U.S. be validated in my country? And vice-versa?

FCU is aware that each country has its own rules when it comes to the validation of a diploma, which should be the sole responsibility of the student. As an example, American Universities diplomas are not directly recognized by MEC (Ministério de Educação e Cultura –Department of Education of Brazil), but some FCU students from Brazil have validated their degree through Universities in the region where they reside.
